Room Hire
The following rooms are available to book free, at First Steps Children's Centres in Tanhouse and Digmoor.
If you would like to book a room, please fill in a room request form or phone Carole at Tanhouse on 01695 724873. For Multi Sensory and Soft Play room bookings, phone Lisa, also at Tanhouse.
First Steps Children's Centre Tanhouse:
Multi Sensory/Soft Play [T]
These rooms can accommodate up to 6 people each and are available to book together or separately. They can be booked in block bookings of one 45-minute session per week over a period of 4 weeks. They can also be booked for one off sessions, if needed.
Activity room 1/Training [T]
The room has a newly installed projector and screen and can accommodate up to 20 people.
Activity 2 [T]
Activity room 2 is furnished with Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning. It opens on to the playground and sensory garden for outdoor space. It makes an ideal crèche and family support setting; and with the removal of furniture, a training facility accommodating up to 20 people can be provided.
Small meeting [T]
This small interview room accommodates up to 4 people. It makes an ideal setting for 1:1 counselling/family support.
Meeting/Antenatal [T]
The room can accommodate up to 6 people for meetings or group/ family support work. The room is used regularly on Wednesday and Thursday mornings for antenatal bookings. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Hall [T]
The hall can accommodate up to 60 people and is useful for big events or training. A portable projector and screen is available. There is a kitchen connected to the hall with a microwave, kettle and fridge.
First Steps Children's Centre Digmoor:
Training [D]
This room has a newly installed projector and screen and can accommodate up to 20 people. There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
Crèche [D]
The Crèche room is furnished with Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning and can accommodate up to 10 people. The room is accessible from the training room and makes an ideal crèche facility.
Green room [D]
The room is furnished with Early Years Foundation Stage areas of learning and can accommodate up to 10 people. This room leads to the outdoor area.
Blue room [D]
This room can accommodate up to 15 people. It leads to the outdoor area and also contains small children's toilets.
Small meeting [D]
The Small meeting room can hold up to 4 people and is ideal for one-one counselling or family support.
Room booking confirmations
All room bookings are to be confirmed with Carole, except for the multi sensory/soft playrooms which are booked through Lisa. Our room bookings are reviewed each term. Therefore, the availability of rooms may vary.
Please note we do not accept party bookings for any of the rooms.
